RØDE Product Warranty - Terms and Conditions

This warranty is given by Freedman Electronics Pty Ltd trading as RØDE Microphones (RØDE) (ABN 91 000 576 483) of 107 Carnarvon Street, Silverwater, NSW, 2128, Australia. The benefits given to you by RØDE under this warranty are in addition to your other rights and remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other local laws of any specific individual country in relation to the RØDE products to which the warranty relates.

Consumer Guarantees

The warranty set out below is offered by RØDE as manufacturer and is not intended to and does not limit your rights with respect to Consumer Guarantees including that the RØDE products will be of acceptable quality, fit for a particular purpose made known by the consumer, match their description, and reasonable steps will be taken to make spare parts and repair facilities available for a reasonable time after purchase under the Australian Consumer Law as applicable.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Repair of the goods may result in loss of data. Goods presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished goods of the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished parts may be used to repair the goods.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, this warranty and the remedies set forth are exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, remedies and conditions, whether oral, written, statutory, express or implied. RØDE Disclaims all statutory and implied warranties, including without limitation, warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose and warranties against hidden or latent defects to the extent permitted by law. In so far as such warranties cannot be disclaimed, RØDE limits the duration and remedies of such warranties to the duration of the express warranty and, at RØDE’s option, the repair or replacement of the RØDE products as described below.

Some countries do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty (or condition) may last, so the limitation described above may not apply to you.

If any terms of this warranty conflict with local statutory rights as required by relevant Consumer Law within the country of purchase, then those local rights shall take precedence over the terms below.

In order to claim pursuant to this warranty in the period of one (1) year from the date of purchase of the RØDE product, the RØDE product must be delivered, together with evidence of the original proof of purchase, to an authorized RØDE service center in the region where the purchaser resides.

Once the RØDE product has been received, the authorized RØDE service center will then arrange the repair or replacement where applicable in accordance with the warranty repair procedure prescribed by RØDE for their authorized service center network. The warranty repair will be conducted by the authorized RØDE service center as promptly as possible and within a reasonable time from the date of submission for the warranty repair.

Authorized RØDE service centers in each region can be contacted via

In all circumstances, a claimant under this warranty will be liable for all costs in delivering the RØDE product to the authorized RØDE service center for warranty repair and for all costs in collecting the RØDE product from that authorized RØDE service center after warranty repair. That authorized RØDE service center may waive the cost of return shipping to a nominated address after the warranty repair in that service center’s sole discretion. RØDE will not accept any warranty repair without the original proof or purchase of the RØDE product, or without the registration of the RØDE product during the extended warranty period. It is the original purchaser’s responsibility to keep the original proof or purchase safe at all times, as RØDE is not obliged to provide a replacement of the original proof or purchase, or to transfer that proof of purchase to any subsequent owners of the RØDE product.

Any repair or replacement of a RØDE product pursuant to this warranty does not extend the warranty, and the original term of the warranty will remain.

The warranty is transferable during the term of the applicable warranty period of the RØDE product, provided that the original purchaser has registered the RØDE product for the extended warranty and provided RØDE with a copy of the original proof of purchase from an authorised RØDE dealer. Each and every claim made pursuant to this warranty by any person other than the original purchaser will incur a AUS$20.00 charge payable to RØDE upon making a warranty claim.

The warranty does not affect any statutory rights that the original purchaser may have in accordance with the law applicable in the jurisdiction where the RØDE product was purchased, or any rights that the original purchaser may have against the authorized RØDE dealer pursuant to their original purchase agreement. Such statutory rights may not apply to subsequent owners of the RØDE product.

Limitation of liability

Except an provided for in this warranty and to the maximum extent permitted by law, the liability of RØDE shall not exceed the actual purchase price paid for the product. RØDE will not be liable for any direct, special, incidental or consequential damages resulting from any breach of warranty or condition, or under any legal theory including but not limited to loss of use, loss of revenue, loss of actual or anticipated profits (including loss of profits on contracts); loss of the use of money; loss of anticipated savings; loss of business; loss of opportunity; loss of goodwill; loss of reputation; loss of, damage to, compromise or corruption of data; loss of the ability to use third party products or software or replacement of any third party products including any costs of recovering, programming, or reproducing any program or data stored in or used with a RØDE product.

Some countries do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

For the avoidance of doubt, this clause does not restrict your rights to reasonably foreseeable consequential losses under the Australian Consumer Law that could have been expected to result from a product's failure or any other local laws of any specific individual country as appliable.

These warranty terms and conditions are governed by the laws of NSW, Australia, and you agree submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of NSW, Australia.
