The Traveling Band - Behind The Band

The Traveling Band was filmed in the beautiful Blue Mountains, NSW, Australia with a small but dedicated crew of friends, colleagues, and newbies.

We used the Rode NTG2 Shotgun Microphone to capture all the ambient sounds of the world and house. We also utilised the Rode WSVM Pop Filter/Wind Shield on a Sony handheld camera because of its high quality fit and filtering. We filmed with a Nikon Z7 camera in 4k for most shots.

The Director/Writer Casey Cooper, spent many hours creating each clown costume by hand, designing the clown makeup looks, drawing up the story boards, scouting locations, organising the crew, including all producing and paperwork, as well as cooked an incredible spread of food from scratch for everyone to enjoy during filming. This BTS only shows a very small portion of the time and work that goes into making a short film.

Everyone involved was highly dedicated and had an extremely fun time bringing this clown thriller to life! It was a fantastic experience for all, from professionals to novices, and everyone walked away with a brilliant piece of footage for their portfolios.

This film had a micro budget of 300$
