Three children go in search of the Mystabeest but it is short lived as their adventure takes an unexpected turn.
Behind the Scenes
The film was shot in Guerilla style with a 4 member skeleton crew in a forest in Kadiri, India.
We used a Sony a6000 camera with a 50mm prime lens, a variable Neutral Density filter, a tripod and a homemade PVC handheld camera rig. We recorded the audio with a boompole that consisted of a refashioned broom stick and a Rode Video Mic Pro + into a Tascam DR-22WL pocket recorder.
The anamorphic look in the film was achieved using a plastic disk with an oval shaped hole. This was stuck to the front of the lens.
We used Adobe Creative Cloud suite for post: Premiere Pro to edit the film and Adobe After Effects for VFX. Gimp 2.0 was used to edit photos and design the poster.
We licensed the music through MusicBed.
