A visually-impaired man living independently abroad is reminded of how good it is to go home.

I shot my Rode Reel in the city of Shenzhen, China. I went handheld with a 35mm lens, an NTG-1 and a VideoMic Pro+. I was a holding camera, microphone, and juggling both to try to make a subjective, first-person perspective come through, that is watchable despite being unfocused, to keep us in the main character's head space. The NTG-1 was my best source of audio by far. I would get wild sound from the environment, then go back through and pick up detail sounds. I had a friend in Los Angeles get a couple lines and car sounds. The writer for this also features as a voice actress. Through effects and sound design, I got a lot out of a little and made several different characters appear out of a only a couple voices.
