This microshort Rode Reel was filmed in Brisbane at an abandoned skate park. The building has been empty for 20 years. Being a loud, echoing location next to a main road and near an airport it was a challenge to capture clean audio.
We also had to rescue a stray dog midway through shooting which meant we had some minor continuity issues, which I won't mention in the hope they are not noticed.
Nearly all sounds included in this film were recorded on set (including light foley) with only a few sound effects added in post. The score is a composition of previously recorded sounds mixed in with lines of audio from Zapsplat.
For sound we used Rodelink wireless lapel mics, an NTG4, Rode VideoMicro, Rode carbon fibre boom pole.
The camera used is the Sony A7Riii accompanied by an Aputure 120D light.
