We used a local Dublin shop and got permission to film between 10:00 pm and 5:00 am across 2 consecutive days in store. This was great in terms of setting, however, the main set back was the loudness and different hertz levels of multiple fridges, slushy machines, and freezers.

To combat this, we used our Rode NTG4+ Mic to get multiple wild tracks in every corner of the store from multiple angles, this allowed us to counter the background noise in the main film as well as provide a nice, fluid sense of variety in the location as our characters moved.

When shooting shots with obscured or off-screen characters, we put a RodeLink Lavalier Mic on the unseen characters to catch as many lines and in some cases ad-libs as possible. In some close-ups, we also managed to record one character with an Invisilav while using the NTG4+ on the other for faster shooting.

Our equipment was hooked up to a tascam DR60 MKii recorder.
For the majority of shots (bar close-ups) we used a Rode Micro Boompole which allowed the perfect height and length advantage to operate from across the aisle or from high above.
For the outdoor, intro shots we also covered the Rode NTG4+ with a Rode WS6 Deluxe Windshield.

Finally, our main camera shot using a Rode Video Mic, while our behind the scenes camera shot in tandem, utilizing the Rode Video Mic Pro
