He always dreamt of becoming a racecar driver, but he never was well-off to afford it. After a trip to the thrift store, now that he's found a leather jacket to make him feel closer to his passion, he doesn't mind that he goes behind the wheel on a daily basis for a less auspicious purpose.

"Once Upon a Time in Little Tokyo" was shot entirely on an iPhone X, mounted on a suction cup, DJI Osmo Mobile 2, Manfrotto Tripod or on the end of a monopod (for the ending shot). In order to get more out of its camera, the Filmic Pro app was used to get better control over the settings and shoot in a flat colour profile. The Filmic Remote app was very useful as well to dial in the settings from further away. The sound was recorded on a Tascam DR-40 paired with a Rode VideoMic Pro. They were linked together with a Rode VXLR. This setup was used for dialogue, foley and voiceover. Pre-production was the lengthiest, production took 4 days and post-production took a little over a week.
