We built our set on the lot of EUE/Screen Gems Studios in Wilmington, North Carolina. One of my favorite elements of filmmaking is the magic of it all. Witnessing everything come together to make a great product. One example being, we only set up three walls of our set and foam core with plexiglass in the middle. So instead of shooting one way then turning the camera around to get the reverse, we did what is referred to as a "mexican reversal." Switch the actors and props to make it appear as though the camera has moved. ROYL'S side had a black beam and a clock. DANIEL'S side had a red beam, a security camera and a cucalorus of jail cell bars on the wall behind him. Not only did this save time and keep thing's easier, but it proves my point of capturing the magic in movies.
