Currently, we are seeking the right person to join our Manufacturing and Supply Chain team to manage operations within our warehouse and global distribution centre located in Greystanes. This person will also be a key member of a team responsible for developing and deploying a new ERP system and an Automated Warehouse Management system in the coming 12 months.  This professional multitasker is responsible for all warehouse and dispatch operations from receiving raw material through to shipping finished products.  In between, the successful candidate will manage and oversee the storing, picking, and packing activities within the warehouse, while ensuring quality standards are met at every turn. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail oriented, and able to track multiple facets of the warehouse and distribution at any given time.  Our products are designed and primarily manufactured by our industry-leading team in Sydney and are exported to over 119 countries globally through more than 6000 dealers, including Amazon, Best Buy, Sweetwater, Guitar Center, Thomann and JB Hi-Fi. Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and directing warehouse activities and establishing priorities in keeping with safe, effective and efficient operations and cost factors, while ensuring inventory accuracy and timeliness.
• Acting as a stake holder and/or champion capacity in the implementation of an ERP system and WMS integration.
• Develops performance KPIs and reports them out on a regular basis.
• Investigate process failures, prepare Corrective Action Plans, and monitor process improvements to ensure effective corrective action is taken
• Develop and implement process improvements to reduce our overall warehousing costs and improve customer service levels
• Coordinates the activities of the warehouse in receiving, storing, pulling, staging, and shipping materials or products while applying knowledge of methods, equipment, and capability of workers.
• Works with management to establish productivity and quality standards.
• Promotes safety. Ensures employees are aware of and adhere to plan safety rules and regulations. Works with the team to develop a safety culture with zero incidents /accidents.
• Promotes quality. Sets the quality direction to meet/exceed customer requirements in a cost-effective manner.
• Provides leadership in identifying, developing, and implementing process improvements in the Warehouse.
• With inventory control personnel, conducts cycle counts and physical inventory activities as required.
• Evaluates freight costs and the inventory costs associated with transit times to ensure that appropriate shipping methods are used.
• Responsible for the minimization of loss associated with mis-location, expiration, obsolesce and shrinkage of inventory.

You will require the following skills and experience to be successful:

• Significant experience in automated warehouse and distribution including at least 3 years leading a team of at least 25 
• Minimum 10 years’ senior experience leading FMCG Warehouse and Distribution function with exposure to all aspects including warehouse & freight and receivable of imported products.
• Significant experience in the development of Warehouse and Distribution strategies.  In addition, experiences which point to a successful track record in the delivery of these strategies.
• Strong communication and influencing skills. In particular, the ability to advocate change and influence internal opinion.
• Bachelor's Degree (business, logistics, engineering. supply chain preferred)
• CPIM or Proven track record of process improvements
• ERP Implementation experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office; High level Excel skills
• High attention to detail and ability to multi-task 
• Deep commercial understanding
