We are now seeking a motivated and energetic Warehouse Supervisor to monitor and control the dispatch operations of our warehouse located at Silverwater.

Reporting to the Dispatch Manager, you will be leading our team to ensure the smooth running of the day to day activities within the dispatch area. This position presents an exciting opportunity to take on a medium-level leadership role in our Dispatch function, put your supervisory experience and knowledge to use while developing strategies for the team motivation and optimal results. You will play an integral part in the success of the Dispatch Team by ensuring we stay on top of the monthly set targets.

Key responsibilities:

• Communicate with management as needed to maximise efficiencies and resolve issues in absence of the Dispatch Manger
• Fill in as a Dispatcher when required (picking, packing, wrapping, loading, and unloading)
• Ensure compliance with company policies such as; Safety, Uniforms, use of scanners, meal breaks, and attendance.
• Monitor specific charts, daily graphs to ensure that the constant scanning to orders are in progress and daily targets are met
• Ensure accurate processing of local and international orders
• Provide a clean and safe work environment
• Assist the Dispatch Manager with monitoring, tracking, and reporting the performance of the dispatch staff in order to measure their efficiency
• Train, inspire, and motivate the team to achieve desired results in productivity, teamwork, quality, safety and job skills
• Prepares, reviews and maintain reports, statistics, and records in absence of the Dispatch Manager
• Ability to manage multiple overseas customer sales orders while managing 5-6 day/week operation
• Ability to learn and demonstrate efficiency in the Dispatch output

Required qualifications and skills:

• Proficient with Excel, MS applications, any WMS required
• Proficiency in SYSPRO will be an added advantage
• Forklift License
• Strong organisational skills, multi-tasking, ability to prioritise Sales Orders
• Maintain a professional, positive, and friendly attitude at all times
• Frequently lifting and/or moving up to 15 Kgs or more
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with others and have good work ethics
• Must be goal-oriented and task driven
• Commitment to excellence and excellent attention to details
• Must have great listening skills and verbal/written communication skills

Educational requirements:

• Certificate II in Logistics Management, or a Diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a ‘hands-on’ leadership role working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Experience in Sales Order fulfilment will be an added advantage
• Experience in the use of RF Scanners, motorised, material handling equipment and tools
• Demonstrated ability to motivate, encourage and lead team members
• Demonstrated ability to provide the highest standard of customer service
